Star Songwriter Carla Marie Williams’ Launches GIRLS I RATE Initiative

Unless you have been hibernating this quarter, it’s likely you’ll have read about Smash hit songwriter Carla Marie Williams (Beyonce, Girls Aloud, Kylie). The North-West London based talent hosted a glittering Gala Dinner in celebration of the launch of her new movement, GIRLS I RATE, that seeks to nominate, celebrate and champion diverse women in the Creative Industries.

Held aboard The Yacht London, the star studded event saw the likes of Liz McClarnon, Preeya Kalidas, Stooshe, Terri Walker, Jorgie Porter, Jasmine Dotiwala, Kelle Bryan, Indy Vidyalankara, Jessica Huie MBE and Lizzie Cundy walk the red carpet and come together to toast the occasion.

The evening included keynote speeches from Vick Bain (CEO of BASCA) and Kanya King MBE (MOBO CEO), a champagne reception and 3 course meal created by former Atomic Kitten and Celebrity Masterchef winner Liz McClarnon.

Most recently responsible for Beyonce’s politically charged Freedom, Songwriter Carla launched Girls I Rate to create an alternative movement through which a diverse group of woman spanning the creative industries, could collaborate and support the next generation of creative talent
